CANADA 150!!
Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 7:30 pm, River Run Centre
The Guelph Chamber Choir and four guest choirs celebrate Canada and Ontario’s 150thanniversary with a gala concert featuring 240 singers and internationally acclaimed Guelph folk singer James Gordon. These singers of all ages give voice to Canada’s and Ontario’s history, culture and spirit in this collaborative concert. Choirs partnering with the GCC include the Guelph Community Singers (That’s us!), the Guelph Youth Singers, the Rainbow Chorus of Waterloo-Wellington, and the University of Guelph Choirs. Each choir will perform individually, and five choirs will sing together as a massed choir. As well, James Gordon and the choirs, together with audience members, will sing songs that celebrate our wonderful province and our country with its diverse peoples. James Gordon has been commissioned to compose music for this event. More on this next session. http://guelphchamberchoir.ca/home/concerts/celebration-150/
