GCS Weekly Warm-up (V160125)

Hi my singing friends!

Wow wasn’t that a great concert! We can all be proud of our hard work, and how we all came together and absolutely rocked. My personal favourite was our rendition of ‘All Too Soon’. I have had several comments from friends who attended, who all thought we really did great. Special thanks to our EMCEE Paul Giffer and Jennifer’s husband Bruce Walton, who drummed for us. I’m enclosing a picture of our Choir. You all looked so great!

From Jennifer: Thank you everyone for all your hard work. We hosted and entertained 300 people last night and did it without any glitches. Extra kudos to you, Barb!

From Barb Moldenhauer: Our Concert last evening was such a wonderful success!! And, what a turnout to hear us sing! I want to thank all of you for bringing the refreshments for intermission. What a selection of treats for everyone to enjoy. And, the compliments! Also, thank you so very much to all my volunteers who helped in every way to make the concert such a success. I so appreciate your readiness to take on the various jobs. What a wonderful evening!!! For those of you who are connected to the non-choir volunteers, please let them know how much we appreciate their help as well. Thank you, thank you. (The Trinity piano sure got a workout with Great Balls Of Fire! Yeah!!)”

From Jenny: We exceeded our sales goal for the concert! Woohoo!

The after party was also lovely – thanks again Martina and Gerry for hosting, and thanks also to Lincoln who played for us, and to those who brought their instruments. Denise Fell’s son jammed with Lincoln and it was wonderful to hear!

This Wednesday Jan 27: NO PRACTICE!! Cuddle your loved ones and bask in the knowledge of a job well done.

Next Wednesday Feb 3: REGISTRATION for our next session. Did you forget to turn in your binder? Bring it with you! Registration begins at 7PM. Gentle reminder: Fee is $90, cash or cheque please. Bring your friends to try it out!

Postal Code Mapping
I’m putting together a map of where you all are. It’s important for our grant information, and for possible car-pooling and other things. Please reply with your address and postal code if you don’t mind sharing.
